Aledo driveways are the hardest ones to clean well, and it has nothing to do with how dirty they are. The newer neighborhoods here are built around wide, pale concrete approaches, often with a decorative border. Light concrete shows red dust and tire marks far more than older grey slabs, and it shows the cleaning pattern just as clearly.

That is why we will not touch an Aledo driveway with a hand wand. A surface cleaner holds the jets at a fixed height and spins them, so every square inch gets the same treatment and the slab comes out as one even surface. On a driveway this size and this light, a striped result is more noticeable than the dirt was.

Local conditions in Aledo

  • Big light-colored driveways. Newer Aledo homes have wide, pale concrete approaches, often with a decorative border. Light concrete shows red dust, tire marks and organic growth far more than the older grey slabs in town, and it needs even pressure across the whole surface or the cleaning pattern shows too.
  • Light stone and stucco fronts. The white and cream stone that defines these neighborhoods is porous, and the mortar between it is softer than brick. It cleans up beautifully with a soft wash and gets permanently marked by a pressure tip.
  • New construction on every side. Aledo is still building, and the dust from that lands on finished houses. It is the main reason a two year old home already looks tired at the roofline and on the windows.

What the job includes

A pre-treatment on the organic staining

The grey-green film in the low spots is growth, not dirt. It gets treated before the surface cleaner touches it, or it comes back fast.

Surface cleaner across the whole slab

Even pressure, even dwell, no wand stripes. Edges and expansion joints get detailed by hand where the machine cannot reach.

A rinse that carries the dirt off, not around

The runoff gets directed away from the beds and off the slab, so you are not left with a dirt line where the water stopped.

A straight answer on what stayed

Rust bleed, old oil that has soaked in deep, and cracks that were hidden under the dirt do not come out. You hear about those before we start.

Concrete and Driveway Cleaning questions

If it is not here, text us. You will get a real answer, not a sales pitch.

Will pressure washing damage or etch my concrete?
Not with the right equipment. Etching and striping come from a wand held too close and moved by hand. A surface cleaner holds the jets at a set height and spins them, so the pressure is spread evenly. Concrete in sound condition handles that without a mark.
How long does a driveway take?
A typical two car driveway runs one to two hours including setup and rinse. Add the walks and the patio and you are usually looking at most of a day for the whole front and back.
Will the oil spot in the middle come out?
Partly, sometimes fully, and it depends on how long it has been there. Fresh oil lifts well. Oil that has been soaking into the pores for years has stained the concrete itself, and pressure will not reach it. That is a separate treatment, and we will tell you honestly which one you have.
